NEWFLASH: Carlos Kai Vega
Age 63, died peacefully on December 7, 2016, at his home in Cambria County, Johnstown, PA. He was born July 13, 1953 in Manhattan, New York, son of the late Carlos Vega and Claudia Roman. He is survived by his wife Julie Brant Vega, daughters Zenia Marie Vega-Russo, Serena Ann Vega and Kaile Nicole Vega. Also three step-sons, Malachi Murray, Nick Murray and Broderick Justin Murray. He is also a grandfather to Delilah Orris, Ezra Vega, Elena Vega-Russo and Caden Murray. Carlos loved his music and his God. He worked as a bicycle messenger in NY, as a horse race teller at Penn National in Johnstown, ran his own business and loved selling at flea markets. There will be no services held. His will be cremated at the Hindman Funeral Home and his ashes will be received by his family. Carlos Kai Vega, Singer, Songwriter, Instrumentalist: I was Born in Manhattan in 50's. I hit my teens years at the height of the rock movement and was raised with the music industry all around me. I began playing guitar and piano around age nine to pass the time. I slowly developed my personal style listening to the several genres, many guitarists and other musicians throughout my lifetime.
My instrument of choice is my Fender Stratocaster Guitar, but I can bring together many electronic instruments to create a sound that is all my own with the voice of my wife Julie as my backup vocalist. We have created and produced over 30 songs at this time. Please join us on our adventure of bringing to light, love, truth and emotion in vibration of sound. Julie and I love to sing and create new sounds unique to our personalities. We have raised and are still helping our six children and now three grandchildren. I would love to spend more time with my music however we are busy trying to survive and help with the babies. Any support from you my greatest fans would be so appreciated. The cost of equipment and time taken to produce such works from scratch, alone with only my spouse, takes resources which all artists are in short supply of.
